[Pietro awakes with a sharp pain in his leg. Wounds that resemble teeth marks are sunken into his lower leg and are slowly bleeding through the fabric of his trousers. A blood-stained scroll appears to have fallen nearby, unbound and unfurled. To anyone but him the scroll appears as nothing but a tattered scrap of blank paper, but for his eyes alone runes appear scrawled in a delicate script across it.
As he looks at the scroll the ink seems to bleed and shift until he can read the words perfectly.
A family lost to the brightest night, The mountains hide their unfortunate fate. It stole their lives with a single bite, End the cycle or you will share their hate.
As he reads the last word, his vision swims and three faint notes play in the distance. He will be cursed with the Pale Moon's Call until he completes his quest. From dusk til dawn he transforms into an Ulfhedinn and will be drawn toward the mountains. The curse will cause him to suffer violent urges and paranoia.]
